thirsty hearts

having a love affair with the sun

I wasn’t fully happy then, I am not fully happy now. The feelings there, just on different levels. Really makes me think that we’ll never truly be happy and chasing it would be pointless and that, makes me sad and hopeless.

Temporary happiness is everywhere, getting food when you’re hungry, getting paid when you’re broke, given attention when you’re needy. But what’s the permanent one though? Getting married to the love of your life only to have marital problems? To cure your mental issues only to have pills to swallow?

I guess I’m just trying to say your happiness depends on the moment you’re living. And at the moment I want to die.

One day i will look back and no longer feel sad again. I will no longer be afraid of losing someone anymore. I will no longer hate myself for someone else anymore. I don’t wish for it to end, i just wish to not feel anything anymore. One day i will look back and no longer be this happy again, but i will also be no longer in pain.

One day I fear I might break in front of you. Not the kinds you’re getting used to, but the kinds which I usually let myself handle the situation. It would be too much for someone other than myself to see how deep I am capable of going into my own head. I’ve always knew I’ve been hard to handle but unfortunately whatever surfaced before was only the tip of the iceberg. There’s more to it that I cannot show. I’m afraid it will only scare you away.

I believe that my years of excessive overthinking comes with benefits. Probably the only benefit, which is that it has made me so self aware of the things I do or say. Everything actions I take or words I speak up, I think about it too much to the point that I make myself believe that there’s something wrong with it. I’m either doing something wrong or I’ve said something wrong, but I can’t take it back. There are times it’s actually nothing and I’m actually just thinking too much. But there are also times where it hits the spot. What I meant is that I could foresee how people would respond and if it turns out bad, I KNOW it’s myself and I KNOW where I went wrong. I just don’t know how to fix it.

Looking back at last year, i was so content, so carefree, so oblivious. I hate thinking about it. I hate remembering how I was able to feel that content. I hate how much I long to feel that again but I just can’t. I know why, but I cant say it, I wont admit it. I constantly feel like it’s my fault. It’s my fault i feel this way. I can be happy i just chose to be un happy. I fill my head with lies everyday, telling myself this is only temporary. It is not temporary as long as i keep lying to myself about what’s making me so dreadful.

I never fail to remind myself of how unready I am for so many things. How I’m still weak for alot of things. There’s so much fixing to do with myself but I can never. I don’t think I can fix myself. There’s too much damaged done. And I don’t even know what caused it in the first place. There was no traumatic childhood, there was no broken first love. The anxiety, the trauma, the paranoia just hit me randomly.

I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I hate myself I What holds you back?
My mental health. My mental health causes all my insecurities and stops me from doing or say what I want. All the opportunities that were presented to me are never achieved because of my mental health.

Five things to do less often.
1. Eat!!
2. Spending money!!
3. Thinking too much :(
4. Obsessing over what one particular person think of me
5. Procrastinating

How have you changed in the past year?
I like to think that I’ve grown in many ways. I guess I think more before taking action, but only with certain people. I’ve also gotten sicker, sadly. I’ve gotten angrier, sadder and so much resentment in me, mostly towards myself. I guess without the right coping mechanism I could really be going down. I also learned to appreciate people more, what it would feel like to lose them. I’ve known the difference between want and need, well, still working on that.

Your playlist right now?
1. BENEE - WISHFUL THINKING
2. JESSIE REYEZ - COFFIN
3. ARIZONA ZERVAS - HOMIES
4. KAASH PAIGE - LOVE SONG REMIX
5. MEGHAN TRAINER - WAVE
6. AUDREY MIKA - Y U GOTTA B LIKE THAT
7. SUMMER WALKER - DRUNK DIALLING
8. FLORENCE + THE MACHINE - KISS WITH A FIST
9. MADISON BEER - SELFISH
10. ALLIE X - DEVIL I KNOW
11. TATE MCRAE - THAT WAY

A few small things that make you happy.
1. Drawing
2. Writing
3. Getting ready
4. The feeling of finishing an assignment
5. A friend who misses me

What are you thankful for?
I could go on about my family or whatever but that would be a bore. Not that Im not, it’s just that at the moment I guess I could say im grateful for my friends. Though im bad at showing it, there are times I kinda stop and think about how much im blessed to have them. They make me feel like there are good things in life, I just have to realise on my own.

Five things I would like to do more.
1. Write more definitely, not only when im sad.
2. Draw/journal more. They make me pretty happy tbh but I tend to get pretty unmotivated.
3. Save money more just because
4. Say I love you more?? weird but it actually makes a difference
5. Discover new music!!! im getting bored with current songs but too lazy to look for new ones

What was the best thing that happened this week?
I got to see him. Always the highlight. Also my birthday is this week.

What is the view from your window right now?
It’s 5:30am and all I can see outside is a bunch of lights and buildings. A condo that isnt even open yet, an abandoned building that foreign workers stay in I guess? I can see the place where holds so much memory, I like that.

Write about something that stresses you.
My mental health stresses me out like legit. My mental health ruin so many things.

So so tired of being told the loud one, being told the childish one or the wrong one. But with the right facts, im convinced. I’m convinced in someone else’s stories I’ll be those people or much worse. But what can i do? I have my own version in my story but somehow i can never convince other people. We never truly get to see who’s in the right and who’s in the wrong. Always conflicted.
the smallest thing breaks me these days. im still deciding if this makes me break or if it means i trust myself more in the hands of God. i started believing in things like "everything happens for a reason" or the smallest actions or incident is a sign from high above. i started living in the moment more. but it starts to hurt more. i felt like could survive from a bullet shot now i feel like im in a surgery room and the next thing the doctor decides to do will either make or break me.

i started to love, really love. a person specifically, and the best feeling in the world especially when i dont feel like im the only one in it. no one told me you become selfless when you start loving someone. this isnt not knowing what your worth is. trust me, i know that feeling. this feeling is the exact opposite. this feeling is wholesome. it brings the good side of you.

but the higher you go, the harder you fall. in my case the fall feels like a suicide as im the one who's always causing it. im more careful of my actions and my words, and ive not learned how to use it in a good way.
I know I sometimes can get a little speechless about something, but this time I truly am. No words could describe the Hell I had to go through to get here. I had to lose a few people only to gain a couple of great ones. Strangers had to deliver me bad news regarding the people I trust the most. Although I had moments when I felt like I a rising Phoenix, I still hated every second of it.

I think the most painful part of it was realising I had become weaker. The slightest thing can break me. I had support, I just couldn't help myself and that made me feel worse.

i have been thinking a lot but not at all at the same time. I know it doesn't make sense but that's how things are now. Things are good. Bad things still happen but ones I can dodge and still feel good about myself. I'm stressing over healthy things and I have friends around me who radiates the same energy as I do. Not only a few years ago but even four months ago I was lost, at rock bottom. I felt completely demotivated by something I was even unaware of. It feels good to look back at it now that i'm in a better surrounding. I've realised putting too much thought into something will only get the best of you. Sometimes it's enough to go with it as long as you're happy about it. Obstacles will still come no matter how much you avoid it. Sometimes it's better to do now, think later.

I took a moment and read some of my old entries and it made me realize how much in pain i was. I mean I still am but back then being 15 and already knew the feeling of a heartbreak? that's just not right. I was so dark and intense. Did that make who I am now today? Could've I been something else? Something better maybe. I refuse to look back 10 years from now and see zero progress. I refuse to be in more pain. I want to prosper.

I have this bad habit, a toxic behavior or I dont know just constant craving for the nearest or closest affection I can cling to. Any outlet I can just put my love towards to. It's a behavior I've not yet to decide a blessing or a curse.

Some days I have to convince myself that it's just me. I'm just THAT lonely. It isn't love, it's just lust. But long enough I can learn to accept it. I slowly learn to turn lust into love.

Some days it's a blessing to just get over someone because you weren't in love with them in the first day. It's a curse when you start to doubt yourself about commitments.

I want to die.

For the first time since a long time, I actually want to die. I am tired. So, so tired. I am tired of the people around me. I'm tired of the things I have to do that seems endless. I'm tired of my life. I'm tired of living.

I am unsure is this the feeling of wanting death in front of my eyes or am I just feel like I can't take it anymore. I believe it can be solved. All my issues, all my sorrows. But I also believe once those are dealt with, others will come. It is never ending.

I have this habit of always wanting to fix people's problems. Any problems really. Whether it be about life, about love or even about education, I try to help them. Yet I'm so helpless. And I refuse to get help.

It's not that I don't want to, I do but my dumb self just keeps rejecting it. Is it the fear of disappointment or is it the fear of trusting people?

I am trying, I am trying to ask for help but always questioning if it's from the right people. Should it be from the people I've known my entire life?
Pros: They understand us already.
Cons: The idea of us they already had only makes them believe what we're going through is a phase.
But the truth is, it isn't. I've been like this for most of my life and now it's already too late to voice it out.

or should it be from the people that has only known us for a short period of time?
Pros: They won't know us enough to judge us.
Cons: They won't give you the respond you expected.

So here I am constantly stuck in between. I'm here at night hoping the day wouldn't come so I don't have to deal with the problems I tried to forget.

There I said it, I want to die.

You ever first get to know someone and think "wow, there is literally nothing wrong with you"? And it goes on for weeks, or even months.

At one point you feel like they deserve the world and you don't deserve them. Nothing but purity in them. But you? Nothing but evil.

Then they get comfortable with you and you're happy with it. They open up to you and pour their fucking heart on you. Each layer you uncover was like finding pieces of yourself in each of them. It was like puzzle pieces you were looking for your whole life.

But there are a few moments you start questioning. Are those really pieces of you? or are you forcing them to be? Suddenly the puzzle pieces don't fit.

But I learned. Not in a hard way but in a way that made me hate myself even more for how intolerant I can be. Those puzzle pieces just needed some turning for them to fit the masterpiece.

I can learn to love. And I love the thought of that.

2013 to 2016 was a dark moment for me. It was honestly a blur and I can't specifically remember what was wrong but all I know is it was a time I wish not to go back to.

I wasn't myself or maybe it was something bad that has latched on to me and it became a part of me. I hated myself. Don't get me wrong, there were days I had fun, but it those days cannot be compared with the bad ones.

And truth be told, I had no one. My friends weren't much help because they didn't know entirely. At school, I was with them, I was fine. But at home I'm left alone.

I was young and I didn't know how to cope with it. I only found contentment in self destructions. My parents' ways of handling it is by only threatening. And that made it worse.

I was in love back then. It wasn't the right moment but it kept me sane. It was a boon and a bane. Being in love was one of the reasons I couldn't get myself out of the situation just because I wasn't loved back.

I couldn't be alone but there was no one I trust enough to let them see how bad I was. Even now. It felt like a black hole that kept sucking me in. I only got out of it because I made myself.

I had myself and only that. And I'm proud of that but at the same time sad about it. I had to suffer alone and some people only knew bits and pieces of my suffering. "It'll be okay" was the only thing my friends were able to tell me.

I no longer feel that way although some days I feel like I'm going back, but I never want to. I refuse. I promise myself not get that low and learned if I do, there's something that has to be done.

"I don't know what's wrong with me lately. Everything seems off. I feel like giving up on every relationship I have with everyone. I constantly doubt myself and feel like everything I do is wrong. I'm trying so so hard to not do what I do best, dropping everything. I constantly need to remind myself how I need the people in my life, how good they are to me. I need to constantly remind myself that I need them to live. But they aren't showing interest in me.

I've always had this mindset that I don't need those who don't need me but now that I think of it, those people are the one who keep me going. But what if I'm not what keep them going? Do I know my worth, walk away and feel alone? or do I stay and feel worthless?

It's been awhile since I'm not quite ready for death but living isn't on the first on my list either."

This was a draft I found, I forgot when was this and why I felt like this. But its true. Some days I do still feel this way and it feels like rock bottom. Honestly reading my entries, my life is definitely a roller coaster. But I guess its the same for everyone.

Let's talk about progress.
Early this year I guess it's safe to say I was someone else. Not every part of me but probably parts of me that I wasn't so proud of. I lost friends, I gained friends. I got attached, I got detached.

I've been very expressive of myself lately. I stop letting things bother me. And in a way I guess it's good? I've learned how to let go of certain things but I still haven't learn that some things are worth holding on to.

The people around me give me the most impact. Without them I guess I'd still be the same. The people I used to see only on the streets are now the people I have lunch with. The people who used to hate me are now the nicest people on earth.

These are just a bunch of words and paragraphs I put together with no correct order. What I'm trying to say is I'm constantly changing, good or bad. And I like looking back on how much I've changed. I guess it motivates me.
